Transforming Cambodia Through Arts

CREATIVE LEADER COURSE TRAINING

Posted by samnang on 2.27.2013

CLA launched a Creative Leaders Course, which first module was held on  21st  - 25th  January 2013. The training was led by Fellowship Manager Hannah Stevens and 8 fellows participated:   Chheoung  Reuth (Tiny Toones),  Chhoun Sarin, (CLA), Chrek Sopha (The Messenger Band), Khen Vanthy (classical and contemporary dancer and choreographer), Mao Soviet (freelance artist, gallery owner, curator, arts organizer), Meta Moeung (Dans La Phase), Onn Sokny (Epic Arts), Yorn Young (freelance artist, song writer and theatrical director).  This first module was an opportunity for all participants to get to know each other and understand the learning journey that they are about to embark on together.

“This course is very useful for me and everyone to acquire leadership skills, share experiences, and learn  how to communicate with others. It is a very effective way to let us know each other clearly by telling stories, playing games, and at the end we really felt we are part of the same family. We should offer this course to everyone in order to build capacity in communication!”. Said Sarin, one of the participants.

The fellows will continue with 4 other modules throughout the rest of the year, focusing on developing self-awareness, relationships, critical thinking, creativity, communication and learning.
