We are delighted to invite you to join us for a 10 day trip to Cambodia highlighting the rich diversity of the country’s arts seen in the context of Cambodia’s long history of empire and strife. This trip combines the benefits of sightseeing with a deeper immersion into the culture of Cambodia experienced through the work of Cambodian Living Arts (CLA) and its partners. You will have the unique opportunity to sit with Master Artists in our classes and learn about their lives and hopes for the future of Cambodia and its Living Arts. We hope that through your journey with us you will return home with a sense of awe for the country’s beauty and its arts and culture, instilled with a greater understanding of the challenges and opportunities for this post-conflict nation.

Cambodian Living Arts is a program of the Marion Institute. The mission of Cambodian Living Arts (CLA) is to facilitate the transformation of Cambodia through the arts. Their mission is to collaborate to create an environment where Cambodian arts empower and transform individuals and communities by building the capacity of artists and the arts community, by promoting awareness of the arts, and by advocating for the arts with cultural policymakers and major institutions. In doing so, they aim to create value and understanding of what it means to be Cambodian and to create a sense of unity and shared culture. We believe that through creativity we can each expand our potential as human beings. Click here for more information on this program of the Marion Institute.
