Happy fall! Our Grow Education farm-to-school program has expanded to new school districts, our team is growing, and we continue to build meaningful partnerships across the Southcoast to connect students and teachers to our food system.

It was a bright and beautiful Saturday when the Community Youth Empowerment Group held its fourth annual Trunk-or-Treat event Oct. 28. According to Events Coordinator Darien Fernandez, the organization began holding the event following the Covid pandemic when kids were still unable to go door-to-door.

Children need us. This goes without saying. However, they need us more than ever in 2023 America. According to multiple major media sources and the Centers for Disease Control, rates of obesity, depression, and suicidal thoughts continue to rise in children. The most tragic example of this, which can no longer be denied, is emergency room visits by families with children expressing suicidality.

Makepeace Company - was a huge success!
